Izakaya Tori: Savor the Best of Sushi and Japanese Tapas in Tampa

Favorite restaurant by far. I always order the same thing, but it's amazing every time. My boyfriend and I get the 'Miso Hot Ramen', Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll and Gyoza. The staff are very friendly. The service is quick and tentative. The atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant are unmatched. The only downside about this place is it is difficult to find parking during the dinner hours. Sometimes we have to park across the street and walk, but it's okay because it is worth it!

I’ve been coming to Izakaya Tori since 2022 and it is hands down the best sushi spot I’ve ever had. The food is super consistent and always hits. I usually dine in, but tonight I randomly saw an open parking spot, ran in, and placed a to go order instead. They told me 15 minutes and it was ready exactly on time. The food was so good. You know how takeout sushi can get soggy and nasty by the time you get home? Not here. Everything was still hot and fresh, the salad was insanely crisp, the sushi was fire, and I even grabbed ramen for later. Parking honestly kind of sucks, not gonna lie, but they do have extra parking around back. When I dine in, I usually just walk anyway. If you live in the neighborhood, I’d definitely walk and save yourself the headache. As shown in the photo, this amount of food was $56, not including the tip. For the quality and variety, it was completely worth it.

From a customer perspective no one likes to be rushed but from a business perspective rushing people turns tables and there is only so much time to make hay. Come prepared to be rushed thru the experience here. It’s not a nock, just good to know. Food and atmophere wise this place is excellent. Enjoyed the unique preparation of crab rangoon with a shiso leaf. Beef Curray yum-a-licious. Loved the low carb rolls and skewers. I wish they had more veggies on skewers and thc drinks too. Protip: Park in the LA Fitness lot across the street.

Izakaya Tori is an amazing sushi place located on the western side of Tampa. They have a wide variety of sushi plates ranging from rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and chirashi (they additionally have some ramen options). I ordered the Chirashi bowl which consists of about eight different fish, on top of a bed of rice. It also comes with Miso soup or a salad. Everything is very fresh, colorful, and tasteful. The atmosphere is awesome inside- plenty of seats, clean restrooms, and excellent service! The prices are very reasonable considering it being a sushi place. ~$10-$20 depending on if you get a roll or bowl. Highly recommend the is place if you like sushi and are in Tampa!

Voted Tampa's Best for a reason! Amazing and creative food that just pairs so well together! If there is less than 6 people in your party, get there right when they open. Or reserve a table if you have more than 6. There was a decent amount of people waiting to get in when we left but we were seated right away when we got there with in 30mins of them opening on a Tuesday.

HIGHLY recommend the creamy kimchi shrimp and udon dish. The flavors will melt in your mouth. We got the chicken karrage which was very juicy and the agedashi tofu which was amazing. We also got the mushroom side dish which also tasted great. The Izakaya roll was good too and if you want a little extra kick I would ask for it to be torched a little more. The volcano roll was also ordered but it was just regular for me. The ambience was great and you will love how when you walk in you’ll feel like you’re in Japan.

This place deserves all the business they receive! I absolutely love going to Tampa and stopping here for a meal. Service is extremely fast, fish is fish, and warm hospitality. Wish there was better parking, but I braved it every time.

Great food, the sashimi combo was great, kimchi udon was amazing. Great place and cool environment for a date night and great japanese food. Do yourself a favor and get the chicken kaarage and takoyaki! Make sure to get here pretty early...parking was tough 30 minutes after opening. As for wait time to be seated, if you're okay with bar seating, there wasn't a wait at all.
